Functional restoration and harmonious reshaping of the body
Body contouring surgery is not limited to aesthetic enhancement. It concerns the restoration of anatomy, functionality, and an individual’s relationship with their body—particularly in cases following significant physical changes.
Modern body plastic surgery now enables targeted interventions that address excess tissue, improve mobility, and restore harmony of the silhouette, with respect for natural movement and tissue quality.

At Dr. Athens, body reshaping is approached as part of a comprehensive restoration rather than as an isolated aesthetic procedure. Each intervention is planned based on:
Particular emphasis is placed on the appropriate timing of procedures and staged restoration, ensuring that the outcome is safe, stable, and long-lasting.
Reconstructive body contouring surgery is a core component of my clinical practice, with particular expertise in cases following massive weight loss.
My training took place in an academic setting under the guidance of Pr Nicolas Bertheuil, a pioneer in post–weight loss body surgery, at the University Hospital of Rennes (France), where I worked for three years. There, I developed experience in complex procedures requiring combined techniques and detailed anatomical knowledge.
Depending on the patient’s needs, the range of procedures includes:
Procedures may be performed individually or in stages, aiming for safe restoration and optimal body adaptation.
The goal of reconstructive surgery and body contouring is not overcorrection, but the restoration of function, proportion, and comfort in movement, with respect for the body and its history.
Body surgery at Dr. Athens is integrated into the Medical Transition Program, with individualized planning, proper preparation, and long-term follow-up.
