Facial Rejuvenation & Reconstructive Facial Surgery

Natural rejuvenation with respect for expression and time

Facial rejuvenation does not aim to “turn back time,” but to slow the aging process and restore balance between the skin, soft tissues, and underlying bony support. Every face ages differently and requires an individualized approach based on anatomy, tissue quality, and personal expectations.

Modern facial plastic surgery combines surgical and non-surgical techniques, aiming for a natural, timeless result without altering facial features or compromising expression.

The Approach at Dr. Athens

At Dr. Athens, facial rejuvenation is approached as a continuous process rather than a single intervention. The strategy begins with prevention and proper skin care and, when necessary, progresses to targeted surgical procedures.

The process is based on:

  • detailed analysis of the face and its dynamics,
  • evaluation of skin quality and underlying tissues,
  • a combination of non-surgical and surgical techniques,
  • appropriate timing of interventions to ensure a harmonious and natural outcome.

Before any surgical procedure, particular emphasis is placed on skin preparation in order to optimize healing conditions and the final result.

My Experience

My training in facial rejuvenation surgery took place alongside internationally recognized surgeons who shaped both my philosophy and technical approach.

A significant influence on my surgical practice includes:

  • Dr Alexandre Marchac, with whom I trained in my early facelifting procedures using the Deep Plane technique,
  • and Dr Alexandre G. Lellouch, with whom I collaborate in my Paris practice, focusing on contemporary preservation facelifting techniques.

My surgical experience includes:

  • Preservation deep plane facelifting,
  • Preservation blepharoplasty,
  • Brow lift,
  • Facial lipofilling,

with the aim of restoring the natural position and quality of tissues without overcorrection.

Non-Surgical Preparation & Maintenance

Surgical rejuvenation is not the first option in all cases. On the contrary, systematic preparation of the skin and underlying tissues often precedes surgery through:

  • injectable hydration and biostimulation treatments,
  • microneedling techniques,
  • micropeelings,
  • and phototherapy sessions,

aiming to improve texture, pigmentation irregularities, and overall skin quality.

These interventions either delay the need for surgery or act as complementary treatments, enhancing the final outcome.

Goal of Rejuvenation

The goal of facial rejuvenation and reconstructive facial surgery is to restore freshness, balance, and natural expression without altering the identity of the face.

Rejuvenation at Dr. Athens is fully integrated into the Medical Transition Program, with an individualized plan, proper preparation, and long-term follow-up.
